Parent & Student Athlete Information Guide

Welcome to the Brazos Valley Youth Football 16 Week Training Camp! We are excited to have you join us for the 2024 season of growth, development, and fun. This guide contains important information to help you prepare for the camp and ensure a successful experience for everyone involved.

Important Camp Winter Dates: Location Rudder High School
- Official Practice: Tuesday, Thursdays from January 9th to March 7th. Saturday Scrimmages TBD

-Committed Group 1: 6:15AM
- Group 2: 5:45 PM.
- Group 3: 6:45 PM.

Important Spring Dates:
- Spring Ball: Tuesdays, Thursdays in April and May.
- Two scrimmages in April.
- Spring game in May.
- Football OLine/DLine Camp: Sundays 979 Elite 7on7, Thursdays BVYSA 7 on 7 Developemental
- Tournaments on Saturdays.

*Summer Dates TBD /June and July.

All Skill Position Mandatory Summer Track

Required Equipment:
- Water Bottle: Hydration is crucial during training sessions. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
- Mouthpiece: For safety purposes, all athletes must bring their own mouthpiece.
- Football Cleats: Proper footwear with football cleats is necessary for optimal performance on the field.
- White T-Shirt: Please wear a white t-shirt during practice sessions.
- Black Shorts: Wear black shorts for practice sessions.

Additional Recommendations:
- It is recommended that athletes bring any additional personal protective equipment they may have, such as shoulder pads, helmets, or gloves.
- Sunscreen and hats are encouraged for outdoor practices, especially during the summer months.
- Please have your child eat a balanced meal before arriving at practice to ensure they have enough energy for the session.

Communication:
- Regular updates and announcements will be provided through email, text messages, or our designated communication platform.
- Please ensure that the contact information you provided during registration is accurate and up-to-date.

Parental Involvement:
- We highly encourage parents to get involved and support their child's athletic journey. Opportunities for volunteering, fundraising, and event organization will be communicated throughout the season.
- Your presence at games and practices is greatly appreciated, and we kindly ask that you maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards all athletes, coaches, and officials.

Payment Options

$22 AAU Membership

$22 & Purchase of Equipment

Registration for the Training Camp is completely free. However, participants will need to purchase their own football equipment to engage in contact. Additionally, an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Membership worth $22 is required to play in games. This membership provides benefits such as insurance coverage and eligibility to participate in AAU-sanctioned events..

Scholarship

Due to limited equipment availability, scholarships for the football Season are limited. However, all scholarship players will still need to pay the $22 AAU Membership fee. This is required for insurance coverage and eligibility to participate in AAU-sanctioned events, even for scholarship players.

Equipment Investment Breakdown

*All equipment purchased belongs to the student-athlete. Upon exit from the program BVYSA will repurchase all used equipment from student-athlete if participant agrees to resale for discounted rate.

  • North Brazos Valley

    The North Brazos Valley represent the northern region of the league. Committed to sportsmanship and teamwork, this team focuses on developing fundamental skills and fostering a love for the game. With age divisions for Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity, players of all ages have the opportunity to grow and excel in a supportive environment.

  • South Brazos Valley

    The South Brazos Valley embody dedication and determination. Players on this team strive for excellence both on and off the field, emphasizing discipline and sportsmanship. The Buckeyes compete in the Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity divisions, providing young athletes with a platform to showcase their talents and reach their full potential.

  • East Brazos Valley

    The East Brazos Valley represent the eastern region of the league. Committed to sportsmanship and teamwork, this team focuses on developing fundamental skills and fostering a love for the game. With age divisions for Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity, players of all ages have the opportunity to grow and excel in a supportive environment.

  • West Brazos Valley

    The West Brazos Valley represents the western region of the league. Committed to fostering camaraderie and personal growth, this team emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and respect. Athletes participating in the Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity divisions have the opportunity to compete on behalf of West Brazos Valley, showcasing their talents and dedication.
